Short project description
The project addressed the improvement of the production of durum wheat and lentil, which constitute two main food crops in Algeria. For this purpose, the pursued strategy was the strengthening of ITGC through technical assistance, training, and provision of equipment and instruments for field and laboratory activities. The project focused on ITGC experimental station of Tiaret and its zone of activity (Wilayata of Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Relizane and Mostaganem - about 30,000 kmē).
