For the development and the evaluation of the natural resources of a region, the climate is one of the most important parameters. For such purpose the available climatic data have been elaborated to have both a general overview and a climatic classification of the Coastal meseta and a climatic analysis of the study area. Unfortunately in this last case the few available data did not allow a classification.
In general the climate of the study area is characterised by a pluviometric regime with a maximum during the winter and a minimum during the summer. The proximity of the Atlantic Ocean and the altitude determine a mitigation of these characteristics. Microclimatic conditions do not change the Mediterranean aspects but in general cause a decrease of summer temperatures and an increase of precipitation (Ghanem, 1981).
