The 5th edition of the Master will be held in Academic Year 2012-2013

The Master is jointly organised by the Istituto Agronomico per l'Oltremare (IAO) and the University of Florence - Department of Agricultural and Forest Economics, Engineering, Sciences and Technologies (DEISTAF), and it is funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Twelve candidates from the following countries will be offered full scholarships by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Mozambique.

The deadline for submitting applications by candidates from these countries is 7 September 2012. Applications must be submitted at local Embassies or Offices of the Italian Cooperation. Contact details are listed in the brochure.

Candidates from other countries, including Italy, are invited to apply directly at the University of Florence, at their own expense.

The Master will last 8 months, from 7 November 2012 to 30 June 2013. Lectures, seminars, case studies, trainign sessions and field visits will cover the first 6 months, while the last 2 months will be dedicated to the preparation of the Master thesis. English is the working language.

The program leads to a First Level Master Degree, as foreseen by the current Italian university system.
